The twelve sliding stripes make the solve feel genuinely clever without being maddening. I've had it on my desk for a week and keep picking it up just to feel the wood and work the panels.
I bought this for my dad's birthday and he spent a solid hour on the sliding stripes before handing it back to me with a grin. The wood grain is genuinely pretty and the cube feels solid without being heavy. Still working out the last couple moves myself.
The twelve sliding stripes make this way harder than my old six-stripe box, and I actually had to think about the sequence instead of just wiggling panels. The wood grain and fit of each piece feel genuinely well made for the price. Took me about twenty minutes to crack it the first time.
