The little brass compass dial had me stuck for twenty minutes before the whole mechanism finally clicked into place. For something that fits in your palm, this nautical escape box packs a surprising amount of puzzle into it.
Figuring out the last lock mechanism took me almost an hour and I loved every frustrating minute of it. The nautical details are gorgeous too, the little sea-creature carvings alone make it worth leaving out on the shelf.
The little brass dials on this thing are so satisfyingly clicky, and the nautical theme really carries through every mechanism. My only warning is that you'll want to set aside a whole evening for it, because once you start twisting and sliding you can't put it down.
