I've owned a few cast puzzles but this one actually stumped me for two evenings straight. The three metal spirals are machined so precisely that the tolerances leave almost no wiggle room, and that first separation is so satisfying.
The three spirals look almost identical, which is exactly what makes untangling them so maddening. Took me the better part of a weekend, but that click when they finally separated was worth every minute.
