The camphor stripe really pops against the walnut—it looks even richer in person than in the photos. I've had it on my desk for a week and the way it makes you second-guess your own logic is genuinely fun.
The hidden drawer slid open on the second try, and that moment of "aha" was worth every second of fumbling. The psychology behind the two-step mechanism is clever—it made me overthink the obvious. Beautiful woodwork too, the maple inside is a nice contrast to the dark exterior.
The camphor stripe against the walnut is even prettier in person, and the maple drawer slides out with a satisfying click once you figure out the two subtle moves. My friends spent a good ten minutes convinced it was just a solid block.
