I was skeptical about the brass and leather accents holding up, but they're even more beautiful in person against the red pine. The way it rocks with just a gentle nudge from my finger keeps me distracted at my desk all day. Worth every penny.
The way it finds its balance on that tiny point of contact is almost magical—a soft tap on the fin and it rocks for a solid minute. The mix of warm red pine against the dark walnut and brass feels even better in person than the photos suggest.
I wasn't sure the leather strap would hold up, but it feels sturdy and the red pine grain is lovely up close. It takes a surprisingly gentle nudge to get the whale swaying, though it does require a steady surface to look its best.
