Bird Bingo

My kids actually ask to play this instead of staring at screens, which says a lot. The kookaburra and splendid fairywren cards have become our favorites to hunt for, and the artwork makes even a losing round fun.

Played this with my kids on a rainy afternoon and we ended up learning the difference between a puffin and a kookaburra. The artwork on each card is genuinely lovely, not the cheap clip-art look I was bracing for. Now my six-year-old points out robins in the garden like she's some kind of expert.

The illustrations of all 64 species are gorgeous, and my kids actually learned to tell a robin from a puffin after a few rounds. We've been playing it on rainy afternoons and it's held up way better than I expected.
