This handheld device seems to defy the law of gravity. Drop the metal ball through the suede wrapped copper tube and you'll get the strangest sensation of an object falling in slow motion. Feel Flux relies on a scientific principle known as Lenz’s law. The surprising effect is created by the interaction of the magnet inside the ball and an electrical current that is generated as it passes through the copper tube. Video doesn't do it justice. Feel Flux must be seen—and felt—to be believed. No batteries required. Display stand included.

I’ve watched the metal ball take what feels like a full minute to drop through the copper tube, and it still messes with my head every time. The suede wrap makes it comfortable to hold for a long time, and it’s the best conversation starter I’ve put on my desk.

The suede wrapping feels surprisingly premium in hand, and watching the ball drift down that copper tube never gets old after dozens of tries. My kids fight over who gets to hold it next, which says everything about how engaging this little physics demo really is.
