The way that salmon is carved mid-leap out of the rapids is almost photographic—I kept stopping just to study the piece shapes. Chapman's single-piece technique really shows in the bear's fur, which feels impossibly organic as you fit it together.

Took me three rainy afternoons to finish, but that crouching bear mid-salmon-snatch scene is so alive it barely feels like a puzzle. The way the river water pieces interlock is incredibly satisfying.
