このねじれた金属の絡まりは、当コレクションの中でも最も難しいポケットパズルのひとつです。三つの渦巻くフックが複雑な結び目でロックされています。ピースを分離するのに激しい力は必要ありません。必要なのは、優しくひねること、少しのスライド、そしてたくさんの、本当にたくさんの慎重な計画だけです。偉大なパズルマスター、故・芦ヶ原伸之氏でさえ、当初はこのデザインは解けないと考えていました。ご注意ください。1975年にアメリカでエルドン・ヴォーンによって最初に設計され、特許を取得しました。日本のハナヤマ社製。
Took me a few days of focused tinkering to finally separate the three hooks, but the moment they clicked apart was incredibly satisfying. The compact size means I can carry it anywhere and pull it out when I need a brain teaser.
The three hooks are beautifully tangled and definitely challenging, though I wish they were slightly larger for easier grip. Still, a satisfying brain teaser for a coffee break.
The three hooks really are locked tight, and I'll admit I set it down more than once out of frustration. It's a solid little fidget to keep in a pocket, but after a couple weeks I still haven't separated them, so it's more of a slow burn than a quick win.
