Owen V. ★★★★★

The floor plans and section drawings are what sold me — I keep flipping back to the chapter on Fallingwater just to study how he handled the cantilevers. At this page count it's genuinely a reference book, not a coffee-table decoration, and the paper holds up to constant thumbing.

Thomas ★★★★★

McCarter digs into the smaller houses and unbuilt projects just as carefully as the famous ones, which is rare for a book like this. The photos and floor plans are printed large enough that you can actually study the details instead of squinting. It's a heavy brick of a book, but that's exactly what

Joseph E. ★★★★★

I've been flipping through this every night since it arrived—the way it balances Wright's famous houses with his lesser-known sketches is exactly what I wanted. McCarter's writing makes even the technical bits feel approachable.
