Los naipes de estilo español se encuentran entre los sistemas de diseño de cartas más antiguos, que se remontan al siglo XIV. The minimalist suit designs are what sold me, and in person the four suits (oros, copas, espadas, bastos) look even cleaner than the photos. Playing mus with friends finally feels authentic instead of using a French deck as a stand-in.
I've never owned Spanish-suited cards before, so the four suits (coins, cups, swords, clubs) took a couple games to get used to. The minimalist pip design is genuinely striking though, and the cards shuffle nicely right out of the box.
The stripped-down suits took a round or two to get used to, but now the 14th-century design feels weirdly elegant in hand. Cards have a nice snap when shuffled, and the reduced artwork doesn't distract during a tense trick. Genuinely glad I swapped these in.
