Kolibri Daumenkino Maschine

Kolibri Daumenkino Maschine - Main image
$1440 $2400 In stock

Schwarzkehl-Mango. Veröffentlicht 2021 von J. C. Fontanive mit Originalkunstwerk von Sheila Fontanive. Motorgetrieben. Limitierte Auflage von 75 Stück.

James V. ★★★★★

The little motor is whisper-quiet, so the only thing you really hear is the paper flipping. My hummingbird sculpture actually flickers like it's hovering in midair.

I've had it running on my desk for a week and the flipbook pages still catch me off guard when the little hummingbird flickers past in the light. The handmade paper sculptures feel surprisingly sturdy for how delicate they look mid-flip. Watching the mechanism turn still images into motion is oddly

The motor is quiet enough that I forget it's running until a bird flickers past in the corner of my eye. My niece sat and watched the pages flip for ten straight minutes, which never happens. It's a strange, lovely little thing to own.
